NEW HAVEN, CT - (From Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home) John A. Cangiano, 60, of New Haven, died Dec. 4th at Yale N.H. Hospital after a brief illness.

He was the loving husband of Anna Mihailovana Cangiano. Born in New Haven, son of Anthony & Elizabeth "Betty" Monaco Cangiano, John founded American Energy Savers Inc.

A lifelong New Haven resident, John was a kind and generous soul, who was devoted to his family and friends. John’s life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were blessed to be touched by him understand that his existence and the imprint he left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that he stayed here.

John traveled the world but mostly enjoyed the simplicity of his land in Vermont. As he and his wife Anna would descend on their trips, he would welcome the blue skies and shining sun with open arms and an open heart.

In addition to his mother and his wife, John is survived by a sister Laura Zlotnick of Florida. Friends are invited to go directly to St. Bernadette Church, FRIDAY at 9 A.M. for a Mass of Christian burial.

Interment will follow in East Lawn cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to East Haven Animal Shelter 183 Commerce St. East Haven CT 06512.
