Obituary: John Joseph Cretella, 52, of New Haven
John, a talented and passionate cook, enjoyed playing guitar and was also an avid 49ers fan.
NEW HAVEN, CT - (From North Haven Funeral Home) John Joseph Cretella, 52, passed away in his home in New Haven on February 20, 2022.
John was a 1988 Graduate of Daniel Hand High School in Madison and went on to attend Johnson and Wales University to study Culinary Arts.
John had a passion for cooking and playing his guitar and was also an avid 49ers fan.
He is survived by his wife, Noel; his stepchildren, Courtney, Joseph, and Jaquelyne Barbesco all of Connecticut; his mother Alexis of Jacksonville FL; his brother and wife Jeffrey and Peggy Cretella of Jacksonville, FL; his Niece Jaimey Cretella of Ohio; and his parents-in-law Louise and Arthur Byrne of New Haven.
He is predeceased by his father, Joseph Cretella of Wallingford, and his beloved dog Sadie.
