Paul Kohler obituary: Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, East Haven

Paul Kohler, 32 of New Haven passed away August 2, 2025 unexpectedly as a result of a motorcycle accident. He was born July 1, 1993 in New Haven to Karl Kohler of New London and Lynn (Van Alstyne) Kohler of New Haven. Paul is survived by his parents, brother and co-worker, Matt Kohler of North Haven, Aunt Jane & Uncle John Severance, Uncle Paul J. Kohler and dear friends, the entire Crosby family.
Paul passed away doing what he loved. He was a free spirit with a sharp wit and a boundless heart, Paul lived on his own terms and never apologized for it. Paul was fiercely loyal to his family and to the chosen family he found in a myriad of friends, freaks and weirdos. He made people feel seen and accepted.
Over the last 8 years, Paul worked as a railroader, a job that fit his love for motion, mechanics and momentum. Titles never defined him. Paul was a dreamer, a rebel and a wanderer.
