Paul S. Lewis, 78 of Milford, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Paul was born on December 11, 1946, in New Haven, CT, to the late Frederick and Catherine (McCarthy) Lewis. He was the beloved husband of Virginia Lewis.

Following his high school graduation, Paul proudly served in the U.S. Navy, where he was stationed in both Maryland and Hawaii. After his time in the military, he returned home and earned his bachelor’s degree in education from Southern Connecticut State University.

Paul began working at Sargent Manufacturing Co while still in high school and remained with the company for an incredible 44 years. Through dedication and hard work, he rose through the ranks to lead Inventory Planning and Forecasting operations. He also took great pride in managing regular fundraising events for the company to help raise funds and awareness for the March of Dimes.

An avid runner, Paul participated in the Boston Marathon multiple times. He loved staying active and could often be found at the gym or biking with his family. A devoted sports fan, Paul especially enjoyed cheering on the Washington Commanders and never missed an opportunity to attend games or support his children in their life milestones.

To his grandchildren, he was lovingly known as PopPop, and he cherished taking them on special outings for Pepe’s pizza and ice cream. In quieter moments, Paul could be found reading American history novels or enjoying peaceful evenings at home with his beloved wife. His steady presence, warm heart, and dedication to family will be remembered always.

In addition to his beloved wife, Virginia, Paul is survived by their son Paul Lewis (wife Emily), daughter Erica Lewis, grandson Henry Lewis, and granddaughter Holly Lewis. As well as his brother Fred Lewis (wife Susan), sister Kate Giordano (husband Frank), and many beloved friends and family.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday, April 28, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 70 Gulf St., Milford CT 06460 (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Buckingham Ave., Milford CT.
