Person In Wheelchair, Motorcyclist Hurt In Wednesday Night Crash: PD

At Middletown/Barnes avenues in Quinnipiac Meadows, a motorcycle struck a wheelchair-bound pedestrian, both suffered minor injuries: PD.

NEW HAVEN, CT —At around 9 p.m. in the Quinnipiac Meadows section of the city, a motorcyclist struck a pedestrian in a wheelchair, New Haven police spokesperson officer Christian Bruckhart said.

The crash happened at the intersection of Middletown and Barnes avenues, police said. Both were hurt, Bruckhart said, albeit with minor injuries. The person in the wheelchair was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital, the police spokesperson said, with "non-life-threatening injuries."

The crash is under investigation, police said.
