PHOTOS: Move-In Day At Southern: Under Clear Blue Skies, 900 Settle In To New, Albeit Temporary, Homes

A beautiful day greeted to move in to the Southern CT State University campus, with some help from family, volunteers.

NEW HAVEN, CT —Southern Connecticut State University welcomed nearly 900 new residential students to campus Saturday during New Student Move-In Day.

Interim President Sandra Bulmer and Interim Chancellor John O. Maduko joined faculty and staff to greet students and families as they arrived to begin the academic year.

Students and their families were assisted by student-athletes, who lent a hand for Freshmen Move-In Day. Members of all the Owls' varsity teams were on hand to help the first-year Owls move into their residence halls.

Students didn't have much time to acclimate. Classes begin Monday.
