Santa Paws At Tweed New Haven Airport Hosted By Avelo Airlines

Thursday, on its busiest travel day "so far" at Tweed-New Haven Airport, Avelo Airlines hosted its now-annual 'Santa Paws' event.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Thursday, on its busiest travel day in history, "so far," at Tweed-New Haven Airport, Avelo Airlines hosted its now-annual 'Santa Paws' event.

The airline teamed up with service and comfort dogs teams from the Yale University, New Haven, Southern CT State University and Meriden police departments to "provide a more relaxing travel experience for its customers departing the airport," the airline noted in a news release.

'Santa Paws' ambassadors Officer Heidi, K9 Sunny, K9 Jules, and K9 John, endearing Labrador Retrievers, greeted customers along with their partners Officer Rich Simons, Detective Doyle, Sgt. Cindi Torres and Officer Stefanie Massela at the airport as travelers embarked aboard Avelo Airlines flights bound for their holiday destinations.
