Shooting Task Force Takes Loaded Gun With 15-Round Mag Off Streets: PD

NEW HAVEN, CT — Members of the New Haven police Shooting Task Force and Criminal Intelligence Units arrested a New Haven man in connection with recent gunfire, cops posted to Facebook.

Police wrote that task force officers "saw a vehicle suspected of recent gunfire near Washington Avenue, and when they approached the vehicle, one person fled.

Identified by police, Shyon Edwards, with no age given, was "quickly caught." Police said there were no injuries and that a "loaded pistol with a 15 round magazine, along with several grams of crack-cocaine, were taken off the streets."
