NEW HAVEN — Workers were busy Friday installing a sign at the soon-to-be open latest Starbucks coffee shop at 195 Church Street in New Haven, the former First Niagara Bank building. The new location is right across from the Green in the old bank building, only a few buildings down from City Hall. It is an area that has a ton of food traffic on a daily basis. Most recently it housed the former Geltman's Deli Style restaurant. Starbucks currently has two shops in the city. Both are located downtown on Chapel Street, with one near Church Street and one near High Street. The Chapel Street location, in the old Chapel Square Mall, is only a quarter-mile or so away from where the new Starbucks is located. Photo by Rod Williams
