Summer Family Fun Days Kick Off, Every Wednesday Now Through August

Free Family Fun Days are events for all ages and will offer free activities, games, bouncy houses, food and snacks, live DJs, and more.

NEW HAVEN, CT – Family Fun Days kicked off Wednesday at Edgewood Park.

Mayor Justin Elicker and staff of the New Haven Youth and Recreation Department joined families for the first of a series of summer-long family-fun Wednesdays in parks and schoolyards in neighborhoods across the city.

Family Fun Days are events for all ages and will offer free activities, games, bouncy houses, food and snacks, Live DJs, and more. In addition, staff from other city departments, such as health, parks, public libraries, police, and fire, will be on site to promote city services, speak with residents, and provide free resources, such as free COVID test kits and masks.

In total, there will be six Family Fun Days throughout July and August:

Family Fun Days, Wednesdays from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

July 27, Roberto Clemente School, 360 Columbus Ave.

August 10, Goffe Street Park, Goffe Street between Sherman Pkwy & County Street.

August 17, Family Academy (FAME), 255 Blatchley Ave.

August 24, Bassett Street Park, Bassett Street between Shelton Ave. & Butler Street.
