At Tweed, Avelo Airlines Adds San Juan, Puerto Rico To Destinations

Wepa! The airline announced Tuesday that starting Nov. 15, it will fly nonstop into Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport from New Haven

NEW HAVEN, CT —Avelo Airlines has added a new nonstop service from Tweed-New Haven Airport. And it's the airline's first Caribbean destination. Starting Nov. 15, Avelo will fly into Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

With the addition of this flight, Avelo now flies to 18 nonstop destinations from Tweed.

Tuesday at a "festive" news briefing, Andrew Levy, Avelo Airlines Founder, Chairman and CEO, was joined by Sen. Richard Blumenthal, Gov. Ned Lamont, state Reps. Toni E. Walker and Juan Candelaria and New Haven Mayor Justin Elicker for the announcement.

A cursory look for flights, beginning Nov. 15, found fares as low as $78, with most starting at $99.
