NEW HAVEN--Comedian Bill Cosby and billionaire businessman Stephan Schmidheiny could have their honorary Yale degrees revoked.
A new petition signed by 37 Yale University alumni is asking the university to create a committee to discuss revoking the honors of the two famous recipients, according to an article in The New Haven Register.
The New Haven Register reports that Schmidheiny, awarded an honorary degree from Yale in 1996, once owned asbestos concrete factories later found to be the culprit of over 2,000 deaths and sentenced to 18 years in prison.

Cosby received his honoary degree in 2003 and has made headlines recently for facing over 50 accusations of sexual assault, The New Haven Register reports.
