Yale Grad Student Shot And Killed In New Haven
Kevin Jiang was found shot to death near Nash and Lawrence streets Saturday night.
NEW HAVEN, CT — A Yale University graduate student was killed Saturday night in a shooting in New Haven, police have said.
The victim is believed to have been killed in a homicide around 8:30 p.m. near the corner of Nash and Lawrence streets, about a mile from the Yale campus, police told WTNH. He was identified as Kevin Jiang by Yale University officials, WFSB and others reported.
Yale University president Peter Salovey confirmed Kevin Jiang was the victim of the homicide.

"Kevin was an extraordinary young man," Salovey wrote in a statement to the Yale community. "It is difficult to process this tragedy."
