Art Center Offers Creative Writing Classes for Tweens and Teens
It's time for kids to have fun writing!
Sign up for something different this fall, and enroll in a club-based creative writing program at Village Center for the Arts.
Continue Muse Squad's origin story and be a part of their New Milford Chapter. In an environment that’s been a home to budding artists for over 23 years—potters, printmakers, cartoonists, just to name a few—another fine arts discipline joined in last spring. Creative writing uses words to draw a picture.
Join Brittney Richardson , the founder of Muse Squad , as she launches her fall class at Village Center for the Arts . Explore Wonderland with Alice, make new friends, and grow as a writer. The program is open to children of all levels and abilities of reading and writing. It’s a safe space for kids to express themselves. “ Miss Brittney's ” after-school class for ages 8 - 11 will be offered on Fridays, September 22 - December 8, from 4:00 - 5:30 PM. Her evening class for teens ages 15+ will be on Tuesdays, October 10 - December 19, from 5:00 - 6:30 PM.

Materials to bring to each class include a notebook and pen or laptop, and a snack. Every session come prepared to engage your imagination while dabbling in different styles of writing. The journey ends with a final reading and reception.
