Robin Frome
Robin Frome is the newly appointed Artistic Director at the Sherman Players
Robin has been appointed to the position of ARTISTIC DIRECTOR. This is perfect timing for the Players as their 2025 season kicks off and their eyes are firmly focused on their 100th anniversary next year. Steve Stott, Sherman Players President, says "Having an Artistic Director of Robin’s caliber and experience means we can really deliver an ambitious centennial program. He's already working on the season, which will be focused on American playwrights and works."

And in an added bonus, Robin will also be directing Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing at the Playhouse this summer. Auditions for this popular classic will be held on April 21 and 22. See the Sherman Players Audition page for details.

Also welcomed to the Board is a completely new face, in DAN HARNDEN.

Dan Harnden
Dan Harnden joins the Sherman Players Board
A Brooklyn transplant, Dan has become a great supporter of the Playhouse over the last year or so. His background in script writing and the visual arts (primarily film and video) brings a fresh perspective to complement the strong creative expertise the organization is renowned for. Steve Stott says of Dan, "Not only has he an impressive background and organizational experience, he's just such a wonderfully nice guy too, and we know he’ll be a great asset and team member for the Players."

Welcome on board Dan and Robin!

Dinner with Friends opens the 2025 Season

The Opening Night Gala performance of DINNER WITH FRIENDS is just days away. This masterful play opens Friday April 4, and is directed by Terry Sagedy. It stars, Stacy-Lee Frome (New Milford), Christopher Bird (Newtown), Erin Shaughnessy (New Milford) and Chris Luongo (Poughkeepsie). What a play this dramatic comedy is. Funny, shocking and poignant. The playwright, Donald Margulies' characters and dialogue are so real that it’s no surprise this won a Pulitzer. You’ll think he’s looked into the lives of all the married couples you know – and maybe even your own.

The show runs Evenings at 8.00 pm on April 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, with Matinee performances at 2.00pm on April 6 & 13
Tickets are $24 for Adults & Seniors, and $12 for Students with valid ID, available from the Players' ticketing site

*Note: There’s strong language and sexual discussions, so it’s not suitable for younger audiences.

Friday April 4th is the Gala Opening Night, where you are invited you to attend the play and stay for the Opening Night Party in the Green Room after.

And on Thursday April 3rd it's the final dress rehearsal Preview Night at 8.00pm, where all tickets are $12, available at the door only.

Doors open 30 minutes prior to curtain. There will be a 15 minute intermission where concessions will be available.
