Minnie Katherine Cronin Mann, 83, of New Milford, Passed Away

NEW MILFORD, CT — Minnie Katherine Cronin Mann of New Milford, Conn., passed away on Oct. 4, 2016, at home. She was 83 years old. Minnie was born on May 28, 1933, in New Britain, Conn., daughter of the late James and Mary (Day) Cronin. Her family moved to New Milford where she met her future husband, Lucius “Alabama” Mann. They married on Sept. 16, 1952, and recently celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary.

Besides her husband Lucius, Minnie is survived by her children, Lucinda Mann-Coveney, James Mann, and Keith Mann, all of New Milford. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Heather Beaver of North Carolina and Ashley Reynolds of Virginia, five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Minnie was predeceased by her granddaughter, Toshia Lynn Purvis. Calling hours will be held at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge St., New Milford, Conn. Friends and family will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, 2016.
