New Milford May Get Rain for 5 Straight Days This Week: Find Out When

With Connecticut in the midst of serious drought conditions, some good news is on the way for New Milford.

NEW MILFORD, CT — Connecticut hasn’t seen a forecast like this one in a while. We could see rain fall during a five-day period of time beginning by daybreak Tuesday through Saturday, according to the National Weather Service. Now don’t let me overstate that, no one is talking about 5 days of straight downpours or anything like that. But right now showers and rain are forecast for five straight days this week and the chances are about 50 percent each day. With the state in a severe drought, hopefully the showers actually materialize.

The best chance for rain is early Tuesday where we could see up to a half inch of rain. Despite the gloomy forecast, we could see some sun Wednesday as it will be partly sunny during the day before showers may move back in at night. So how much rain will we see over the coming week?

NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan said, “The forecast for this week is getting stormier and wetter. That's good news! The European Ensemble computer models show more than an 80% chance that most parts of Connecticut will get more than an inch of rain this week.”
