New Milford Police Identify Cyclist Killed In Weekend Crash

NEW MILFORD, CT — Police have identified the cyclist killed Sunday after being struck by another vehicle on Route 7.

Jeffrey Castro, 34, was hit from behind by another vehicle while traveling northbound on Route 7, near Sunny Valley Road. Emergency services personnel were notified around 9:18 p.m. of a motor vehicle crash with injuries, according to a news release from the New Milford Police Department.

Emergency medical personnel pronounced Castro dead at the scene.
