IDs Involved In Fatal New Milford Plane Crash Released: UPDATE
Investigators are on scene trying to figure out why an aircraft carrying three passengers crashed near Candlelight Farms Airport.

NEW MILFORD, CT — The National Transportation Safety Board confirmed one person is dead and two others injured in a plane crash near the Candlelight Farms Airport Friday morning, according to New Milford police. Police say the call came in around 10 a.m. Police say the plane came down near Border Lane and Green Pond Road.
The pilot was seriously injured and transported to Hartford Hospital by LifeStar. The male co-pilot was pronounced dead on scene. A man in the back seat was injured but got out of the plane and walked to a house and asked residents to call 911.
The person who died in the crash is Anthony Morasco, 57, of New Milford, and he was an instructor, NBC Connecticut reports. A juvenile female sustained critical injuries in the plane crash and Peter Jellen, 44, of New York, sustained serious injuries in the crash, NBC Connecticut reports.

The FAA says the plane is a Cessna C-172 and departed from the Danbury Municipal Airport, according to multiple media reports. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
NBC Connecticut photos from the scene show the plane's left wing almost completely ripped from the fuselage. Fox 61 reports the plane is owned by Danbury-based flight school Arrow Aviation.

It is not yet known who is involved and the cause of the crash.
This is the second plane crash involving the Danbury Municipal Airport in as many weeks. A pilot from Redding was killed after a small plane crashed the runway at the airport on July 30. The aircraft involved in that crash was a Cessna Skyhawk.
Investigators from various agencies remain on scene and are continuing to investigate the situation.
