Alex Jones Loses Custody Battle: Report
The right-wing provocateur and Sandy Hook denier has been embroiled in a custody battle over his three children.

TRAVIS COUNTY, TX — A custody battle involving internet radio host and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones was resolved Thursday, with the court ruling in favor of the Infowars.com founder's ex-wife Kelly Jones, reports the Austin American-Statesman. Kelly Jones was awarded joint custody of their three children with the right to have their three children make their primary residents with her instead of her ex-husband.
The publication reports that Alex Jones' three children, age 9, 12 and 14, had been living almost exclusively with him since the couple divorced in 2015. Kelly Jones also wants the family to undergo a program for undoing parental alienation, arguing her former husband had turned her children against her. Alex Jones' custody battle made headlines earlier in April after his attorney Randall Wilhite told the court Jones is "playing a character" and is nothing like his online persona. Wilhite told the court that using Jones' on-air persona to evaluate him as a father would be similar to judging Jack Nicholson's ability to be a father based on his performance as the Joker in "Batman," according to the Austin American-Statesman.

However, Kelly Jones told the court that Alex Jones is "not a stable person" and wants to "break Alec Baldwin's neck." Kelly Jones also voiced her concerns that Jones broadcasts from home and that their children watch him broadcast.
Jones' website Infowars has run stories on the idea that the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting was a hoax. Jones himself issued a "Final Statement on Sandy Hook" in which he said the official story of the events of 12/14 has "more holes than Swiss cheese."

In February, Newtown officials drafted a letter to the newly elected administration asking President Donald Trump to denounce all conspiracy theorists, not just Alex Jones. However, Alex Jones was singled out in the letter due to his reported relationship with the new president.
During the 2016 Republican presidential primaries, Trump appeared on Jones' show and told Jones at the time, "Your reputation's amazing," according to MSNBC.
