Bus Information for Newtown Schools Released

School start times for the Newtown Public Schools have changed for the upcoming 2017 – 2018 school year. Both Newtown High School and Newtown Middle School have been changed, and they will begin at 8:00 a.m. with a dismissal at 2:32 p.m. Reed Intermediate School will be combined with the elementary school routes this year. The elementary school times have not changed and will run from 9:05 a.m. to 3:37 p.m. The Reed Intermediate School’s times will run from 9:05 a.m. – 3:37 p.m. Buses will drop off at each of the elementary schools at approximately 8:45 AM, then proceed to drop off at Reed. In the afternoon, buses will shuttle Reed Intermediate School students to the elementary school in their district, then transfer to their neighborhood bus to go home. St. Rose School does not have a change in their times this year. Their hours are from 7:50 a.m. – 2:50 p.m. Parents may call the Newtown Public Schools, Office of the Superintendent, at 203-426-7621 for further questions.
