NEWTOWN, CT — Friday is Cinco de Mayo, a holiday that not only celebrates a major moment in Mexican history but also celebrates Mexican culture and heritage. The holiday celebrates the date of the Mexican army's 1862 victory over France in the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War.
