Police ID Driver In Newtown Fatal Crash

NEWTOWN, CT — Police have identified as New York woman as the fatality in a single-car crash Thursday night in Newtown.

Jessica Bulfaro, 27, of Carmel was driving her 2021 Subaru Impreza eastbound on Berkshire Road between Sherman Street and Zoar Road when she drove off the road and struck two utility poles, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Newtown Police, Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire and Newtown Ambulance responded to the scene around 8:22 p.m.
