Family of Sandy Hook Victim Seeks Volunteers For Animal Sanctuary: Report
The family seeks help with labor-intensive work on the animal sanctuary. Here is how you can get involved.

NEWTOWN, CT — The family of a child who was killed during the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre is seeking volunteers to help with a project to honor their daughter, reports FOX 61. An animal sanctuary was built in honor of Catherine Violet Hubbard, 6, and now the family is seeking volunteers to help with repairs and other tasks.
The sanctuary, located at 3 Old Farm Road, was built by her parents to help with the grieving process and has become a way to honor their daughter's life. Volunteers will be rebuilding a barn on the property, which Catherine's mother Jenny Hubbard hopes will be a home to farm animals looking for a place to go.
Volunteers will also be setting up paddock fencing, removing invasive plants and more. To volunteer, click here.
