DANBURY--The wife of the now retired police chief, who handled the Sandy Hook response, is speaking about trauma and PTSD after the 2012 mass shootings.

Lori Kehoe, wife of now retired Newtown Police Chief Michael Kehoe, is a former hospice nurse, The News-Times reports. She wrote about her experience and her husband's experience with PTSD in a report for the U.S. Justice Department.

The Justice Department report focuses on mental health programs for law enforcement, the Times reports.
