Froehlich,56, worked for the department for 29 years and had been a sergeant for more than a decade.

Her lawsuit names Chief Michael Kehoe, Capt. Joe Rios, and lieutenants George Sinko (retired), Christopher Vanghele, and Richard Robinson.

The lawsuit claims Froehlich has not been able to find work because of her age and poor performance evaluations, and is in financial difficulty because of lost salary and pension benefits. She was planning to work for at least seven more years.
