George 'Jigzy' Hadad, 86, of Newtown, Passed Away

NEWTOWN, CT — George "Jigzy" Hadad, 86, of Newtown, husband of Patricia (Ekelund) Hadad; father of David and Michele; brother of Albert, John, Nicholas, Louis and Marion Horton; grandfather of four; brother in law and uncle, died on Friday evening, December 16, 2016 at Danbury Hospital.

The Rite of Burial will take place on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 11 a.m. in St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 125 Kohanza St., Danbury with the V. Rev. Fr. George Alberts officiating. Interment will take place in the Newtown Village Cemetery, Newtown, CT. The family will receive friends at St. George Church on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 am.

Contributions in Mr. Hadad's memory may be made to St. George Church. Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury is in charge of arrangements.
