Key Missing From Sandy Hook Classroom During Shooting, Attorney Says: Report

Two families who lost loved ones during the worst crime in state history are suing the town for negligence.

NEWTOWN, CT — An attorney for two families who lost loved ones during the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in 2012 says a key for a teachers classroom was missing from its folder on the day of the tragic shootings, reports the News Times.

Donald Papcsy, represents families suing the town for negligence, says the key was missing from an emergency folder he was permitted to inspect from two classrooms where the killings took place.

Saying the shooter was alone responsible for the killings on 12/14, the town asked a state Superior Court judge in July. The case is due to go to trial in March.
