Meadowbrook Bridge In Newtown Reopening Temporarily
Traffic will be restricted to single lane alternating use. Stop signs will be installed at either end of the bridge to control traffic flow.
NEWTOWN, CT — The Meadowbrook Bridge will reopen for limited use on Friday, Feb. 10., according to a news release from the Public Works Department.
Traffic will be restricted to single lane alternating use. Stop signs will be installed at either end of the bridge to control traffic flow, DPW said.
The bridge will operate in this manner until Monday, April 10, 2023, when it will be closed again for the installation of permanent asphalt pavement. Opening for full traffic flow is anticipated prior to Monday, April 17, 2023.
