Meet Darth Vader or Make Duct Tape Crafts in Newtown Tuesday

Help kittens in need, pick up some local food or meet Darth Vader: it's up to you. Here's a sampling of what's going on in Newtown Tuesday.

Get a Haircut, Help a Cat: The BarkAid team and Salon Michele join forces to raise funds for Kitten Associates, a local foster-based cat rescue. Salon Michele is offering $20 haircuts to benefit Kitten Associates today. See link for details.

Character Breakfast: Bring the kids to meet Darth Vader in the last of My Place's character breakfasts from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Balloons and face painting will also be available.

Farmer's Market: The local food and craft market continues today and every Tuesday through October. Pick up fresh vegetables and hear great music. Runs 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

What Can You Make with Duct Tape?: Make everything from wallets to sandals to iPod holders out of duct tape with Katie Stevenson at C.H. Booth Library! Open to kids from grades 5 to 12. Starts 2:00 p.m., cost is $6.

Movie at Edmond Town Hall: This week's feature is Epic, an animated fantasy tale along the lines of an Avatar for kids. Showtimes are 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
