Mulch Pile in Botsford Sends Smoke Into Sky
Notice a big plume of smoke in the sky? This might be why.
NEWTOWN, CT — Fire crews have been attending to a mulch fire for the past three days, according to a Facebook post from the Botsford Fire Station. Firefighters say the mulch pile on Button Shop Road continues to burn on the inside.
Botsford fire crews have received assistance from the Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire and Rescue department. The mulch pile has caused heavy smoke in the area.
No injuries have been reported. Firefighters were not immediately available for further comment Wednesday.
