New Eatery Opens In Newtown: Reports

NEWTOWN, CT — A new eatery has opened up its doors in Newtown, focused on local ingredients and local farmers, reports the News Times. Market Place Kitchen and Bar in Newtown opened at the Village at Lexington Gardens over the weekend.

The eatery is one of five owned by Market Hospitality Group, which includes locations in Danbury, Woodbury and Avon. The menu will change seasonally, but the report indicated diners can expect winter-inspired cocktails and dishes.

The restaurant group says it focuses on "local, organic and sustainably harvested food," according to a press release.
