Newtown 2023 Election Unofficial Results: Capeci Defeats Cruson
Republican Jeff Capeci defeated Democrat Dan Cruson to win his first term as Newtown's first selectman.
NEWTOWN, CT — Republican Jeff Capeci declared victory over Democrat Dan Cruson in the race for Newtown first selectman.
Three-term incumbent Dan Rosenthal did not seek re-election.
Final vote totals will not be official until confirmed by the Secretary of the State's office, likely Wednesday morning.
