Newtown Cultural Arts Commission to Award Grants to Local Artists
Newtown Cultural Arts Commission will distribute up to $1,000 in one or more project grants to an individual artist residing in Newtown.
Newtown, CT — The Newtown Cultural Arts Commission recently announced a grant for artists and arts organizations of up to $1,000 each, according to a press release.

Grant recipients must be at least 18 years of age and a Newtown resident or Newtown
arts organization. The NCAC will announce the grant awardees by letter, on their website and
press release on or before September 6, 2016. Grantees will receive their award no later than October 1, 2016.

Grant funds is provided by proceeds of the Newtown Arts Festival held each year at Fairfield Hills in September. The application deadline is Aug. 22.
