Newtown lawmakers honored Jennifer Hubbard as the legislature reclassified land near the animal sanctuary for open space use.

NEWTOWN, CT — On the final day of the legislative session, Newtown State Representatives Mitch Bolinsky (R-106) and Martin Foncello (R-107) welcomed Jennifer Hubbard, president and executive director of the Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary, to the House of Representatives.
The visit coincided with the passage of a bill concerning property at 6/8 Commerce Road in Newtown, which borders the sanctuary. The measure reclassifies the deed-restricted site for open space and recreational use.
