Newtown Man Backs Pickup Truck Into School Bus: Police

NEWTOWN, CT — A 72-year-old Newtown man was issued an infraction Friday after Newtown police said he backed his pickup truck into a school bus with students inside.

No injuries were reported in the noon crash, which occurred on Kay Lane and South Main Street.

According to police, the bus, which contained six students, was parked in a parking area south of Kay Lane when the pickup truck backed into it, causing minor damage to both vehicles.
