Newtown Man Charged With DUI: Police

Police say they saw the accused speeding through a posted work zone.

NEWTOWN, CT — Police arrested a local man after a private duty officer saw him speed through a construction zone on Aug. 17. The officer had been working detail on a construction site on Queen Street when he saw James Pixley, 30, speed through the posted work zone.

Police later stopped him and made an arrest as a result of their investigation.

Pixley was charged with traveling unreasonably fast/fast for conditions and operating under the influence of alcohol.

He is due in court on Aug. 31 and was released on a $500 bond.
