Newtown Marks 41st Annual Ram Pasture Tree Lighting: Luminaria, Music & Santa

Newtown's 41st Ram Pasture Tree Lighting will be big: luminaria, music, Santa visits and more community festivities.

NEWTOWN, CT — Newtown Parks and Recreation and the Borough of Newtown and Adult & Pediatric Counseling Specialists PLLC will host the town’s 41st annual Ram Pasture Tree Lighting on Friday, Dec. 12.

The celebration begins at 6:30 p.m., with residents invited to walk along Main Street and Elm Drive to view luminaria lining the route to Ram Pasture. Once gathered, the event will feature seasonal singing, dancing and a countdown to the lighting of the community tree.

Santa Claus will attend and be available for seated visits. Children may also bring letters to deposit in a North Pole mailbox set up at the event.
