Newtown Middle Schools Ranked Among State's Best: New Rankings For 2018

NEWTOWN, CT — Following the Labor Day weekend, most of the state's students have returned to their classrooms for another school year. Students between the ages of 10-13 will be returning to middle schools statewide in preparation for their high school careers and beyond.

With that in mind, Niche.com has ranked the Nutmeg state's top public middle schools. Similar to the website's rankings for High Schoolsand Elementary Schools, Fairfield county dominated the top five positions. However, New Haven and Hartford counties rounded out the top 10 spots. Reed Intermediate School came in at No. 33 and Newtown Middle School came in at No. 36.

Niche.com says it calculated its rankings based on reviews from students and parents along with test scores, student-teacher ratio, teacher quality, diversity and the overall quality of a school district.
