Newtown Police Arrest Log For Feb. 1-14

NEWTOWN, CT — Newtown police made six arrests over a week-long period in early February, including multiple protective order violations and drug charges, according to department arrest logs.
Gregory Vedovato, 47, of Danbury, was arrested twice on Feb. 3 at Danbury Superior Court, facing multiple counts of violating protective orders. In the second arrest, a $100,000 bond was set on one of the violation charges.
On Feb. 5, police arrested Tara Kathleen Whyte, 38, of Bridgeport, at the Stratford Police Department. Whyte was charged with evading responsibility with injury or property damage and making an improper turn without signaling.

Three additional arrests were made between Feb. 7-9. Richard Sheehan Denby, 42, of Windsor Locks, was charged with operating a motor vehicle under suspension. Steven Caldarola, 32, of New Fairfield, faces charges of drug paraphernalia possession and a second offense of controlled substance possession, with a $1,000 bond set.
In the final incident, Dana M. Geslien, 49, of Newtown, was arrested at an Underhill Road residence on third-degree assault charges.

All suspects are scheduled to appear in court later this month.
A Shelton man faces multiple charges after allegedly threatening employees with firearms at a local garage while intoxicated, police said.
Vincenzo Ciocca, 60, was arrested Monday afternoon after police responded to a 911 call reporting a disturbance at Dodgingtown Garage on Dodgingtown Road. According to police, Ciocca allegedly threatened employees while armed with two firearms.
Officers located Ciocca in his vehicle stopped at a traffic light in neighboring Bethel, at the intersection of Route 302 and Wolfpits Road, where he was taken into custody.
Ciocca faces charges including first-degree threatening with a firearm, criminal use of a weapon, carrying a firearm under the influence, first-degree reckless endangerment, breach of peace, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
He was held on $100,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on February 13.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
