Newtown Police Log Includes Protective Order Violations And Disorderly Conduct

Over the weekend, Newtown Police handled protective order violations and a disorderly conduct cases.

NEWTOWN, CT — Newtown Police released several reports from Nov. 21–23 involving protective order violations and a dispute call.

Dispute Reported on Quarry Ridge Road

Officers responded to a dispute on Quarry Ridge Road in Sandy Hook on Nov. 21. Following an investigation, Asim Polozani, 51, of Newtown, was charged with disorderly conduct and assigned a court date of Nov. 24 in Danbury Superior Court.

Protective Order Warrant Served

On the same day, Meghan Gouveia, 35, of Brookfield, went to Newtown Police headquarters in response to a warrant connected to a Boggs Hill Road incident. She was charged with violating a protective order and given a Nov. 24 court date.

Protective Order and Breach of Peace Case on Huntingtown Road

On Nov. 23, officers were dispatched to 105 Huntingtown Road for a report of a verbal dispute earlier in the day. Police said Maurizio Marcella, 46, of Shelton, was taken into custody with assistance from Shelton Police and transported to Newtown for processing. He was charged with breach of peace and violating a protective order.
