Newtown Police Seek Cigarette Thief

NEWTOWN, CT — Police are seeking a woman who they said stole a large quantity of cigarettes from the Walgreens on South Main Street Saturday. Police said a woman approached the cashier and asked for a large amount of cigarettes, and then quickly left the store while the cashier was distracted at around 10:30 a.m.

Police said the woman sped offin a late 1990's and early 2000's red four door sedan. The woman is believed to be between 20 and 40 years old, dressed in black clothing with a black knit cap and glasses.
