Newtown Police Seek Information After Vehicles Damage Fairfield Hills Soccer Fields

Newtown police are asking for the public's help after vehicles damaged soccer fields at Fairfield Hills on Nov. 27.

NEWTOWN, CT — Police are asking for the public’s help after vehicles caused damage to soccer fields on the Fairfield Hills campus last week.

The vandalism was reported around 2 p.m. on Nov. 27 near the Kent House, where motor vehicles were driven onto the grass and left ruts in the playing surface, according to the Newtown Police Department.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information is asked to contact Patrol Officer Piazza at the department’s non-emergency line at 203-426-5841.

This past Thanksgiving weekend was a busy one for area vandals. The Southbury PD is investigating extensive vandalism and theft reported at two Southbury parks. Restrooms were demolished, cabinetry was broken, and fire extinguishers were discharged inside a building, police said.
