Newtown Police Seek Public's Help After Suspicious Bicyclist Reported

Newtown police ask residents for video or sightings of a man on a black bicycle near Mile Hill South on Dec. 9.

NEWTOWN, CT — Newtown police are asking residents for information after a reported incident Tuesday involving a man seen riding a bicycle near Mile Hill South and Turkey Hill Road.

According to a department statement issued Wednesday, officers are attempting to identify a man described as white and wearing a black hoodie, gray pants, a black ski mask and sunglasses. He was reported riding a black bicycle in the area around 2:10 p.m. on Dec. 9.

Police did not detail the nature of the incident but said they are seeking to speak with the individual. Residents in the neighborhood are asked to review home security footage for possible sightings.
