Newtown Residents To Suffer Driving Delays During Pump Station Upgrade
Work begins Tuesday to replace the pump at the Aquarion station at the corner of Bancroft Road and Alpine Drive.
NEWTOWN, CT — Work begins Tuesday to replace the pump at the Aquarion station at the corner of Bancroft Road and Alpine Drive.
The project, expected to be completed in the Summer of 2023, is intended to provide appropriate and reliable water pressure in the distribution system serving customers in the Sandy Hook area.
While most of the construction will be located off the road and on Aquarion property, residents should expect minor traffic delays and possible detours during normal working hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
