Obituary: Marie L. Guerrera Villano, 95, of Newtown

Marie L. Guerrera Villano, age 95, of Newtown, beloved wife of the late Patsy Villano, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on May 4 1922, she was a daughter of the late Donato and Raffaela Coscia Guerrera. Before her retirement, Marie worked at Remington Arms during WWII and later a manager at the Town Fair Bakery of Stratford. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and loved her family dearly.

Survivors include her two loving children, Patrick Villano and his wife Susan of Massena, NY, Mary Lee Cannone and her husband Robert of Newtown, six cherished grandchildren, Jamie and Patsy Cannone and Patrick, Hollie, Alexa and Amanda Villano, two adored great grandchildren, Heaven Green and Josie Tyler, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Frederick Guerra and Anthony Guerrera and three sisters, Rose Costa, Katherine Arco and Gloria Codeghini.

All funeral services were held in private. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
