Obituary: Robert Roman Prusak, 91, Of Newtown
Bob loved to travel and fish with his family, and had a keen sense of humor that will be missed by many.

NEWTOWN, CT — Robert Roman Prusak, age 91, of Newtown, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his loving family on Feb. 20, 2024 in Danbury. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Marie Elizabeth Prusak.
Born in Chicago, Illinois on May 9, 1932, he was a son of the late Roman and Martha Bracik Prusak. Bob was a graduate of the University of Illinois and an enthusiastic member of The Delta Upsilon Fraternity. He served with the United States Air Force, stationed in Japan during the Korean War and when he returned he met and married the love of his life, Marie Reardon; they were married for nearly 63 years. They had two children, Robert and Suzanne. They settled on Long Island where he became President at Thermax/Sonic Wire Corporation for over 25 years. Bob loved to travel with Marie and his family, He also loved to fish; some of his favorite destinations included Europe (especially Italy), Aspen and Cabo San Lucas (for marlin fishing). Bob had a keen sense of humor that will be missed by many.

Bob is survived by his children Robert and Suzanne; grandchildren Emily, Ashley and husband Michael, Katharine, Sam, Brennan and Bridget; great-grandchildren Bailey and Anthony; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Ray.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Robert on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Redding. Interment will immediately follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Bethel. Friends may greet the family prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Bouton Funeral Home, 31 West Church St. Georgetown (Wilton). Lunch will be hosted following the interment.
