Why are you seeking this office?
The Planning and Zoning Commission will need problem solvers—people who can navigate complex issues with a balance of practicality and vision. Effective problem-solving involves compromise, respectful and thoughtful conversations, and a solid understanding of the topics and challenges that will come before the board. By approaching each issue this way, we can make decisions that preserve our small-town character, protect valuable open space, and guide responsible growth that benefits both current residents and future generations. It’s about finding solutions that honor our community’s history while planning thoughtfully for its future.

The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
Managing the growth of the town. The key is finding the right balance between residential housing, thoughtful commercial development, senior housing, and affordable rental options—all while preserving the rural feel and small-town quality of life that make Newtown unique.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
Problem-solving. I bring over 30 years of experience in solving complex challenges, first in the rapidly evolving automotive industry and, for the past 12 years, in real estate. Beyond my professional work, I see problem-solving as a way to make a tangible difference in the community. Whether it’s helping neighbors navigate property concerns, connecting people with resources they need, or finding creative solutions to local issues, I enjoy using my skills to bring people together and make processes smoother and more effective.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
Planning and Zonings role in affordable housing develpments.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I have been succesful being self employed and running businesses for the last 25 years, this experience has given me strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and the ability to manage challenges independently.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
My grandfather told me, ‘Don’t trip over a dollar to save a dime,’ that reminded us to focus on long-term value over short-term distractions.
