Party Affiliation:
Democrat

Occupation:
Assistant Town Clerk

Family:
The joys of my life—our children, Mitchell and Victoria—both proud graduates of Newtown High School. Mitchell went on to serve our country in the United States Coast Guard, dedicating himself to protecting others and upholding the values of service and commitment. Victoria followed her passion into the Parks & Recreation field, building a career centered on community, connection, and enriching the lives of others. I could not be prouder of the paths they have chosen and the meaningful places they have carved out for themselves in this world.

Does anyone in your family work in politics or government?
no

Previous public office, appointive or elective:
yes-- Asst Town Clerk

Why are you seeking this office?
I believe accountability means putting the right people in the right roles to best serve our community. Elections are important, and some roles—like the Town Clerk—require specialized training, technical knowledge, and professional experience to be done well.

The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
Accountability to the Taxpayers

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I have a more progressive outlook for the office. We need to promote modernization to bridge the gap between old ways of doing things and technology

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
Digitizing records for easier & more efficient access; improving filing processes, enhancing record-sharing, and centralizing access for departments to make research more efficient, reduce redundancies, and ultimately save time and resources for both staff and residents

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I am very focused on my duties, and have often stepped into the role of the Town Clerk's responsibilities in their absence. Handling our office during COVID, the heavy volume of absentee ballots for the 2020 Presidential election (and several elections thereafter), dog licensing, vital records and website management. I am fully prepared to meet the extra requirements while bringing forward new ideas to strengthen the office.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
To listen before you speak. To pause before making a judgement or choice and think it through.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I offer a comprehensive understanding of established practices, combined with practical experience. This background uniquely positions me to bring a fresh perspective to modernizing our office.
Beyond technical expertise, I have a proven track record of handling sensitive matters with the utmost professionalism and care. Managing these records requires not only accuracy and discretion, but also compassion for the individuals and families involved—qualities I consistently apply to every aspect of my work.
