Previous public office, appointive or elective:
I am an incumbent Planning and Zoning Commissioner and previously a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals

Why are you seeking this office?
To guide balancing the community's needs with developer's desires while preserving the New England character of Newtown.

The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
The implementation of Statute 8-30g affordable housing projects while preserving the New England charter of Newtown. I plan to offer guidance to developers and identify any environmental, safety, or health issues. I would assess the impact the projects will have on town traffic.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
Based on my skill sets as an engineer, I'd bring an analytical and realistic approach to our housing and other land-use issues.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
Advocate for keeping planning and zoning matters a local decision without interference from the State. I am committed to protecting our town's character while considering informed growth initiatives. Traffic on our roads in Newtown is a recognized issue and will be carefully evaluated for each new development.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I had a successful career at Union Carbide Corp. in the process design and licensing areas. I have been a productive contributor as a current member of Newtown's Planning and Zoning Commission.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
Work hard, be honest, and stay objective.

I will do my best to represent Newtown professionally in all matters.
